Castle Black is situated at the base of the ginormous 300 mile long and 700 feet high Wall made of ice.

The only line of defense for the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms is the Night’s Watch. It protects Westeros from wildlings, White Walkers, and other threats from beyond the Wall. Known as “crows” for their all-black attire, the sworn brothers of the Night’s Watch are absolved from all past crimes when they take their oath, although they must renounce family, land ownership, and birthright. As the final line of the order’s oath states, “I pledge my life and honour to the Night’s Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.” They live as monks for they must take the vow of celibacy and taking their oath is said to be 'taking the black'. Black represents that these men live a life without colour; without joy, freedom, or sex.

I like the concept of the Moon Door. I thought it was for doling out punishment on criminals and serving justice to prisoners but I was wrong. Sky-cells were for criminals, moon doors are for anyone and everyone. I think the moon door is a pretty clever way to die in Game of Thrones

King's Landing is the capital of Westeros. Situated in the capital are the Iron Throne, the Iron Keep, Cersei and the whole ball of wax. Example: corruption, Flea Bottom, a horrible stench and the smell of dead people.

K is for an undefeated leader of the Dothraki tribe of warriors that traverse the continent of Essos. His hair is dark and long and has never been cut. Daenerys Targaryen is promised to him.

#AtoZchallenge — J is for — Joramun's Horn

From the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai to the Shores of Dragonstone and the frozen lands beyond the Wall comes the 10th anniversary of the AtoZ challenge...

The Horn of Joramun also known as The Horn of Winter will be portrayed on the cover of George R.R. Martins book, Winds of Winter, whenever that is. The horn belonged to Joramun, a former King-Beyond-The-Wall, who used it to wake giants from the earth. It's also been speculated in the communities of the Free Folk that the horn can bring down the Wall, which is the only thing separating Westeros from the hordes of undead gathering an army way up north.

While its ability to bring down the Wall may make it seem like it's only here to benefit the army of the dead, it could actually be instrumental in defeating them.
It was said that Joramun was integral in defeating the Night King many, many thousands of years ago — which he could have done with the help of his handy horn.

It is first mentioned in the third novel, A Storm of Swords, and it's said that when blown it will cause The Wall to crumble and fall. Ygritte is who first tells Jon about the horn, saying that Mance Rayder and the rest of the free folk have been searching for it everywhere. When Mance and his army arrive at Castle Black, Jon finally gets a look at the horn -- black with gold bands and engravings of runes from the First Men, the eight-foot-long horn is said to have been made from an aurochs, which are giant mythical oxen.

#AtoZchallenge— I is for —Iceland and Ireland

From the Shadow Lands of Asshai to the Shores of Dragonstone and the frozen lands beyond the Wall comes the 10th anniversary of the AtoZ challenge...

Shooting some of the beautiful landscapes in Game of Thrones took place in Iceland and Ireland, home of the rugged coastlines, historic castles and breathtaking scenery. I would much rather have been in warmer climates such as Croatia, Spain and Morocco, although the Iceland scenes are so satisfying and spectacular right? I think filming Samwell Tarly, Grenn and Edd at the Fist of the First Men, was in Iceland. You know when they discovered the dragon glass? Anyway, in the books, it may have been Jon Snow who found the arrowheads and the horn of Joramun.

Ireland

Inch Abbey

Ireland is recognizable with scenes along the Kingsroad, Winterfell and the Riverlands around the Trident. Inch Abbey is the location of Riverlands scenes, where Robb Stark waited to cross the Trident. Melisandre burned the old gods on Dragonstone in Ireland. She also gives birth to a 'shadow baby' portrayed in a cave in the Stormlands.

Ireland's forests and woodland North of Winterfell is where the white walkers were spotted and the Direwolf pups were found.

From the Shadow Lands of Asshai to the Shores of Dragonstone and the frozen lands beyond the Wall comes the 10th anniversary of the AtoZ challenge...

Hodor

Hodor's real name is Wylis. He is a gentle giant, the great-grandson of Old Nan. When he was young he experienced 'Bran-Starks-greensight' gone wrong and warged into his grown-up body via Bran's past vision and all's he could hear was Meera telling him to "Hold the door"! After that moment, he could not speak again but that one word for the rest of his life.

Just FYI, a Warg is a person with the ability to enter the minds of animals and perceive the world through their senses and even control their actions. The act of doing this is called "warging." - source. For example, Orell, one of the Free Folk beyond the wall, could commune with his eagle.

Bran is also a greenseer and future 3-eyed-raven. He warged into Hodor frequently just to be able to experience things he could do and see without having to crawl. He entered his direwolf, Summer, as well.

Can you guess who the letter is?

He is known throughout Westeros as "The Hound" and was a member of the Kingsguard until he abandoned king Joffrey and his post at the fire of the Blackwater. The Hound is considered one of the most dangerous fighters in Westeros. As a child, he received gruesome facial burns when Gregor shoved his face into a brazier. He came to loathe fire, his brother, and the hypocrisy of knighthood in general.
