Saturday Centus is a 100 word or less essay based on a prompt.
By using wordcalc I calculated 88 words in my story. Thank Shakira for the link. My story is part non-fiction Hey, I told you "I need practice!"
Anyway "Happy Birthday Tom Goette!"
"It doesn't matter how old you are , as long as there is room for all of us ."
WEEK 21 PROMPT
He never dreamed when he blew out the candles on his cake...that he would be honored by a crew of peculiar bloggers. It was a shocking surprise! and oh!... the stories that would follow, would peak his curiosity.
The candles reminded him of each person who would have their part to tell , and it just made the candles more bright and lively. It was an amusing thought , and he couldn't stop laughing and giggling for one minute as he stared at his birthday cake , trying to take in as much air as he could to blow all those candles out .
Hey, who are you calling peculiar?
ReplyDelete;)
PS. Nice take on the prompt...
Very nice birthday greeting to Tom in this post. Why not? I like it! I like being one of the peculiar bloggers on his birthday cake!
ReplyDeleteSweet take on the prompt. Unexpected. Creative.
Best wishes,
Anna

ReplyDelete...mine's here - http://panopticulated.blogspot.com/2010/09/birthday-saturday-centus-week-21.html
This made me laugh out loud. Peculiar? I prefer to think of us as just being very far ahead of the mainstream lol. Great story, and I loved the little, tiny, all in fun jab at the end :) Kat
ReplyDeleteI guess we could be called a bunch of odd ducks - but peculiar is going a bit too far (I kid)!
ReplyDeleteLike the jab about Tom being old, too...
That was clever. Peculier, if you mean unique then I guess I am. :D ~Ames
ReplyDeleteJackie! I love this. What a clever story within a story. You really twisted this around here.
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda/sorta anxious for Tom to start reading this week.
I think he will get a chuckle out of the links!
I really enjoyed what you did this week.
Thank you.
This is a happy post. Great work. I think peculiar is putting it nicely. I take it as a compliment!
