Meet The Osbournes

It isn't halloween without the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne. I absolutely adored their show and Ozzy's book 'I Am Ozzy' was a treat to indulge myself in. Sometimes I like reading a good autobiography.

Everyone loves to hear the story of the time Ozzy bit the head off a pigeon, and a bat when he was performing in concert. Crazy, but it's true and that's how it goes... and I loved every season and episode of The Osbournes. It's like stepping into a dark Gothic palace where everyday is Halloween and mayhem and the furnishings were to die for! Shouts of curses and other expletives reverberated through the house, and sometimes Ozzy screaming "SHARON!" dog shit on the carpet, some Kelly Jack drama in their growing pains of puberty. Kelly and Jack were such bad kids back then but that was a long time ago . Now she's lost a lot of weight and Jack is married with children. They both went through drug rehab and Kelly does The Fashion Police with Joan Rivers.

Jack took the opportunity to make a movie of his father. I haven't seen it yet but I hope to. I have read 'I Am Ozzy' written by Ozzy himself and it's a fantastic book I highly recommend it. The movie is called God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy and Sharon are both survivors. She had cancer and Ozzy almost killed himself in a bike quad accident. I really hope they both stick around for awhile longer.

Crazy, but hey that's how it goes. Millions of people living as foes--maybe it's not too late...to learn how to love, and forget how to hate!

Mark Tufo is the creator of the Zombie Fallout series, which feature everyman hero Mike Talbot.
Mark Tufo was born in Boston Massachusetts. He attended UMASS Amherst where he obtained a BA and later joined the US Marine Corp. He was stationed at Parris Island SC, Twenty Nine Palms CA, and Kaneohe Bay HI.
After his tour of duty, he went into the Human Resources field with a worldwide financial institution and has since gone back to college at CTU to complete his Masters.
He wrote the first installment of the Indian Hill Trilogy whilst in college. This manuscript was stored in his garage until July 2009, when he published it on Kindle at his wife's insistence.
At the time of this writing, Mark has since written the extremely popular Zombie Fallout series comprised of six serial novels, one prequel novella (Dr. Hugh Mann), and a related side story following the plague from the point of view of a zombie retaining human sentience (Timothy); two additional installments of the popular Indian Hill series; a metaphysical horror novel (The Spirit Clearing); two books following the trials of domesticated pets in the time of a zombie plague (The Book of Riley 1 & 2); a young adult version of Indian Hill entitled The Ravin (with a YA version of Indian Hill 2 scheduled for release in 2013); and a contribution to a compilation of zombie short stories (Undead Tales).

Stacking The Shelves

This is where I show off my books that I received this week. I'm currently reading The Reckoning by Kelly Armstrong . I went to second hand bookstores for most of the books I got but since I'd already read Divergent and Insurgent I thought I should get Allegiant too. I purchased Stephen Kings 11/22/63 because I'd heard good things about it. It's a pretty big novel so I might get the audio as well.
