I need more cowbell!

Check out this thursdays theme by using more cowbell ! :) Oh, btw, the guy who came up with the idea of a 'bell' theme has cancer and will be celebrating his last chemo therapy session/treatment on February 18 and he gets to ring a bell (hence thursdays theme), so if you want to join in the fun and show your support you can together with him ring a bell, toot your horn, blow your whistle or perhaps just say a prayer cause you know he could use a little more COWBELL!  Cancer can be beaten ! You can read all about it on his blog

On to the topic of this thursdays theme : We've all heard the saying "I need more cowbell" and for those who don't know where or how it came to be a popular catchphrase , on April 8, 2000, Saturday Night Live hosted by Will Ferrel, did a comedy sketch with Christopher Walken, fictionalizing the recording of the song (Don't Fear) The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult

Some Fun Facts

• In August 2003, "Saturday Night Live: The Best of Will Ferrell" including the Blue Öyster Cult skit, was released on DVD.
• In July 2004, "More cowbell" was entered into the Urban Dictionary. Definition: 1) something everything needs more of. 2) a remedy. And for "cowbell" definition: 1) everything lacks it. 2) that of which more is needed.
