Humiliation

Medieval method of torture, from about 1250 to 2006

Torture is a global reality even in the 21st century. Last year, the pictures from the Abu Ghraib military prison bore shocking witness to this fact, causing worldwide horror.

It is all the more alarming that recently there have been an increasing number of voices demanding to give the government, under certain exceptional circumstances, the right to threaten with torture or actually apply it.

The saturday evening blog post

I've taken the liberty to participate in Saturday evening blog post . This is my first time and this month is about sharing your favorite February blog post.  Click on the image above if you would like to play . Thank you .

My favorite blog post was A polluted world gone insane . It may not be the best title for it but it's about mind pollution and what you shouldn't be watching or reading . That is tv and dirty magazines and porn . yup . I hope I don't come across as being too forceful because that wasn't my intention. I simply wanted to remind everyone of the dangers of mind pollution , that's all. I thought it was a good post and if you can , please leave a comment , whether you agree or not , I'd appreciate it . Have a great weekend everybody!

It's 'G' Alphabe-Thursday!

This week my alphabe-thursday 'G' word is

Grammar nazi .

From the movie Inglourious bastards , you may or may not have noticed Brad Pitt is lousy with his accents ! He doesn't do a good german accent (or any accent imo, not even american!) and the investigating nazi colonel played by Christoph Waltz, is my favorite character in this movie . I think he deserves an academy nomination for his role .

and..

I use it all the time .

The lighter side
