The Neera Super Cleanse

I didn't think the Master cleanse could get any better but now there is an improved version called Neera Super Cleanse. The secret is in the sap lol that is because instead of using maple syrup , you use Palm syrup . Wow!

To read the Story of the Neera Super Cleanse click here

Neera is a Sanskrit word which roughly translates to palm syrup, but its fuller meaning is “life essence of the palm tree.” It is the life force of the palm tree, the energy that would become the flower and the fruit of the tree. Neera has been used for thousands of years in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Neera is the essence of the Neera™ Super Cleanse.

Check it out

For a days worth of the cleanse here is what you do. Mix 5 oz. of syrup, 5 oz. of lemon juice, 54 oz of purified water and cayenne pepper to taste.

Nutritional yeast is a raw vegans ingredient for anything cheesy and it's real good for you . I was able to get some at the health food store today . Just shake it all up in a ziploc bag and voila! a healthy snack for you .

M is for Master Cleanser

The Master Cleanse is something I have greatly benefited from in the past and I credit it to me wanting to live a raw food lifestyle . I found the booklet inspiring and full of good information  but if you want you can just click on the picture for the pdf online version.
The book has more info and goes into much more detail as to how the lemons and maple syrup and cayenne pepper are good for you and why. I am thinking of doing it again beginning January 15th . Who's in?
Here's the recipe to make the lemonade :

* 2 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed organic lemon juice
* 2 Tablespoons of grade B maple syrup
* 1/10 Teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
* 10 oz of filtered water

This is just a single serving of lemonade, but you should drink 6-12 servings a day.
Let me just add , a 6oz glass of water with some squeezed lemon is always a good start to any day .

As you all may remember Jenny Matlock was offering lemons from her front yard! , and I'm still wondering if I will be getting any since she said she sent something in the mail but I haven't received anything yet and I don't know what it is :(

Anyway , we all know lemons are a natural cleansing agent and are considered to be ideal for detoxification of the body. They are hailed by many as a miracle fruit and one of the most alkalinizing foods.

Thank you for stopping by today ! This has been another edition of Alphabe Thursday with the letter 'M'

The Fail List

This post is linked to Saturday centus. An Up to 100-word writing meme based on a prompt .
This week the prompt is in blockquotes . I chose to take advantage of our 'gift'  this week cause "I never look a gift horse in the mouth" :)
"Her crumpled up list of resolutions..."
The Fail List

She didn't need to make life more complicated than it was already . Failure was not something she wanted but it evidently always ended up that way. Her life was worth more than "her crumpled up list of resolutions..." she thought.

Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

click for sunday snippets

I have two posts that I would like to share this week for sunday snippets .
1) Choosing a saint for 2011 . I think this is a really cool saint generator Jennifer Fulwiler made in her spare time . It chose St. Antony of the desert or the Abbot for me , which I firmly trust is someone I need at this point in my life . It's fun to learn about new saints that I haven't known or heard of before . You should try it . Click here to access the generator . Thank God for computer nerds! (Lol inside joke if you read her post)

Another one that I would like to share is :
2) Catholicism 101 meme . Everyone is invited to participate , you don't even have to be catholic , to share something about the catholic faith , it's just that I believe the Catholic Church to be the pillar and foundation of Truth.

A good analogy is to a central library where all the books are to be found . You can't take the Bible (Sacred Scripture) out of the Church or the Church out of the Bible . They go together . We have Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, they cannot be separated. Blessed are they who keep the Traditions with a capital 'T' ! Amen!

Read what the Catechism says about Scripture paragraph 112, 113, 114 :
HERE
The Second Vatican Council indicates three criteria for interpreting Scripture in accordance with the Spirit who inspired it.
Point number 2 -
113 2. Read the Scripture within "the living Tradition of the whole Church". According to a saying of the Fathers, Sacred Scripture is written principally in the Church's heart rather than in documents and records, for the Church carries in her Tradition the living memorial of God's Word, and it is the Holy Spirit who gives her the spiritual interpretation of the Scripture (". . . according to the spiritual meaning which the Spirit grants to the Church").
You have all week to think about something as it will be live from friday Dec 31st to sometime Friday January 7th. Don't you just wanna share your faith? I really look forward to reading all your amazing posts .

Thank-you and may God Bless You !

Epiphany

Matthew 2:1-12. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit . Amen.

This Sundays gospel is about the Magi's journey to worship the newborn King born in Bethlehem of Judea . Isaiah had foretold that "all the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God." and "To those who did accept Him, He gave power to become children of God." And now, on the Epiphany, the light from the skies is intensified a hundred, even a thousandfold, and the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that "nations shall walk by your light, and kings by your shining radiance."

To the amazement of all in that region, there came foreign camels bearing foreign scholars - wise men - kings! Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh! What courage and perseverance those strangers showed, to brave the dangers of travel, skepticism, and political intrigue. But they found what they were looking for. That star gave trustworthy guidance and now triumphantly shone as guard over the lowly dwelling wherein rested the child who possessed all meaning. They fell to their knees in homage, for their learning had made them humble, and their wisdom led them to recognize the Divine in the fragile flesh of a child.

What a silent Adoration! What loving glances they exchanged with Mary and Joseph!

But for all their simple faith, their wisdom was sharp enough to detect the sham delight and murderous intentions of the wily Herod. And so they paid their respects, left their gifts, and modestly departed for their homeland, sorrowfully aware of the terrible price justice must pay for Peace.

Their role in history has been accomplished - to teach us all to follow the guidance of the Almighty, to accept our own role as Bearers of the Light, and to follow this Christ into His Mission, to partake of His Passion, and to join the millions through the ages who will preach His Gospel of universal salvation.

The Son of God is the one Judge and Arbiter of Truth and the one Source of Light, but we are all called to be "epiphanies," providing glimpses of that Truth, showing the way in our own small spots of time and circumstance to a larger plan and destiny.

O Princely Child, make of us all wise men, courageous women, obedient children who will follow wherever You lead us. May we be faithful to prayer, diligently reading articles and booklets about our faith, sharing what we learn with others, taking part when possible in prayer and study groups. This is the way for us to be light-bearers, lighting up the darkness and the confusion in the world in which we live.
