A holiday new adult romance with lots of steamy hot sex . Two college students, Ryan and Holly follow their paths which leads them into each others bed errr... I mean heart. Unfortunately I didn't feel the love between them when they were making out. Only lust. I would've liked to feel their attraction instead of read about it. I think they were made for each other though and it was worth the 0.99

My Review

When she gets asked to help teach Dr. Tim Killian to love again, Lily thinks it's an invitation to have sex with him and she makes him fall in love with her. Talk about a naive fairy! She knows she has to return to the land of fairy after Christmas but by then it's too late. The damage is done and she is completely miserable over losing such a great man. She only wishes to be made mortal in order to return to earth and continue to be with him.

"He has such a wall up no one is able to penetrate it. That's where you come in."
"I need to penetrate his wall?" Now Lily was really confused. She thought that was what the mortal man did to the mortal woman.

I liked the part where she surprises Tim by decorating his house for Christmas. She uses her fairy magic. It reminded me of Samantha of Bewitched. She was after all a 240 year old holiday fairy who was an expert in bringing the Christmas Spirit.

Claus Legend of the Fat Man is a wild fantasy adventure of titanic proportions.
When a family of 3 went missing on a trip to the North Pole they are rescued by Elvens. Some Elvens are being hunted by the Coldhearted brother of Claus , Janack aka Jack. I related to Jack the most. I guess perhaps because he is the only one who showed any emotion WHATSOEVER (lol) good or bad but even though he was cold and blue , his true colors hiding behind the block of ice are revealed in the end . *tears

About the author 

My grandpa never graduated high school. He retired from a steel mill in the mid-70s. He was uneducated, but he was a voracious reader. I remember going through his bookshelves of paperback sci-fi novels, smelling musty old paper, pulling Piers Anthony and Isaac Asimov off shelf and promising to bring them back. I was fascinated by robots that could think and act like people. What happened when they died? I've written textbooks on landscape design, but that was straightforward, informational writing; the kind of stuff that helps most people get to sleep. I've also been writing a gardening column with a humorous slant. That takes a little more finesse, but still informational for the most part. I'm a cynical reader. I demand the writer sweep me into his/her story and carry me to the end. I'd rather sail a boat than climb a mountain. That's the sort of stuff I wanted to write, not the assigned reading we used to get in high school. I wanted to create stories that kept you up late. Fiction, GOOD fiction, is hard to write. Having a story unfold inside your head is an experience different than reading. You connect with characters in a deeper, more meaningful way. You feel them, empathize with them, cheer for them and even mourn. The challenge is to get the reader to experience the same thing, even if it's only a fraction of what the writer feels. Not so easy.

I loved Ice Gods!

The short story takes place in Iceland where we find everything frozen which is the same kind of weather I'm living in at the moment and why it's the perfect book to read :)

Annika was tragically stripped of her 'god' powers by Odin when she was born. She is the daughter of Vali Son of Loki. Without knowing what or who her family really is, she meets Tyr, the owner of Santa's Magical wonderland. She had hopes of finding her roots in Iceland when he invites her to meet her father at the Yule Fest.
Tyr is the son of Odin.
I loved Tyr's sleigh! O and his Snow Cat Helga! omg the cat is a tiger! The magical land of Valhalla is the place they traveled to and it was out of this world! literally
Tyr has kept many secrets from her but the story erupts in a beautiful fairytale romance. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I liked that it was a quick short read too. Santa's Wonderland is truly A PLACE WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE for Annika.

Her gaze jumped back to the creature pulling the sleigh and her eyes bugged. A huge white cat the size of a tiger strained against the harness.

Larry was a soldier who died in a helicopter crash. Jake should've been the one in that helicopter, but instead he made a promise to Larry to watch over his wife and kids. It's been three years and Larry's ghost is still hanging around not being able to let go of Emma.

Jake has always wanted a family and if he was honest about his feelings for Emma he'd have made her his a long time ago but he made a promise and his duty came first.

The more time Emma spent with Jake, the more her feelings grew into something electrifying. He was so good with her kids. Christmas for Emma had slowly lost meaning apart from Larry. Jake knew what he needed to do to bring back her Christmas Spirit. I loved it when they went out looking for the perfect tree. It was a magical place where they all enjoyed a trip down a large hill on a toboggan.

The book only takes a couple hours to read. A perfect time to cuddle up with hot coco next to the fire.
