M is for what's in your wallet

canadian money
MONEY is what I want in my wallet.  I wish I had a MILLION dollars.

When I was little , I remember something called Miles for Millions. My brother, who was about 8 at the time , walked about 5 miles for some charity .

Maid of the Mist

I went to Niagara falls once but I wasn't aware of the Maid of the Mist. I had only heard of it from watching the movie "Bruce Almighty".

Miraculous Medal

Mickey and Minnie Mouse

Do you know the muffin man? I hear he's pretty tiny but he makes mad muffins .

The Mediterranean Sea

We lived in Algiers growing up . 2 blocks from the Sea actually. Zeralda. right on the coast . I also went to boarding school in the island of Palma de Mallorca . On that map it is called the Balearic Islands.
The Rocky Mountains are the reason we get chinooks in the winter, beautiful sunny weather. I like looking at the mountains but I wouldn't want to live in them.

Ok well that's all for this week. You can find more Alphabe Thursday and the Letter 'M' over at Jenny Matlocks blog . Thanks for all those who participate, you are all wonderful .

  1. The Maid of the Mist is awesome!! It was truly a wonderful experience...if you ever get a chance to go back...you should do it.

  2. I went on the Maid of the Mist. It was a lot of fun. Although even though they give you raincoats you still get somewhat wet LOL.

  3. I really enjoyed your informative M post. Thanks for the tour.

  4. Our family used to go camping in those magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains! :-)

  5. Great M post....very clever. I hope you drop by mine if you get a chance. I have always wanted to go to Niagra Falls....sigh

  6. Oh boy...great memories...muffin man and maid of the mist.

Money, too. Just a memory anymore.

Thanks for a great post and a fun stop on the Alphabe-Thursday "M" train!

  7. when I read you post it is kinda like the way I think when I have had 3 cups of coffee and try to sit and do work.....I skip around to all kinds of intresting things and then look for the connecting fiber....the letter M

  8. I feel more worldly having read this. You are the only person whose blog I've read that said "We lived in Algiers growing up." Wow!

  9. I agree with you on the mountains ... so lovely to look at ... wouldn't want to live there though ... and money ... in my dreams ...

  10. I love that you have the Miraculous Medal in your pictures. I got one as a baby and all my girls have too. Great M post.

  11. I lived on the Mediterranean Sea too...only in Sicily. Only for a short while, but we could watch the ships go by from our apartment deck. It was beautiful Then we moved onto a military base. You came up with a good selection of M words!

Thanks for visiting.
