The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I'm reminded of Rocky Horror Picture Show with Brad and Janet and their car breaking down upon reviewing Thriller (previous post)

Calgary's Kensington Theater

The Rocky Horror Picture show was one of my first record albums I ever owned. Probably because I had won IT in a basketball tournament in Junior High! I never knew what I had in my possession until a (couple years) later . Certainly I listened to the music, but to be honest I thought it was strange and wierd . The music wasn't very good imo. It was quite disappointing . I was still a virgin~





It wasn't until later that I realized it was a smashing hit movie and that people actually were fanatic about it .

I went out with a guy who partied with all kinds of gays people who dressed up in their favorite characters, and for a long time 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' was featured at a local shady theater company pictured here.

Finally , I think the first time I ever saw it was on TV. It was probably because I knew it was adulterated and 'my-parents-wouldn't-have-approved' of the movie and I wasn't familiar with transvestites and gays and lesbians at the time.1977 In fact growing up, there weren't too many of them that I knew .

Anyway , admittedly I enjoyed the musical alot.

Yes, on the surface this song may sound sick and demented. It is really about the day we discover the hold that the devil has on us and we turn our lives fully over to God and renounce the devil. It is when we find the great weapon against the devil, the rosary, and reap revenge for all the pain he has caused us. -Mike
