Tuesday Treasures is about taking pictures of those things that are special to you. Things you would like to show a friend. Things you would like to record for posterity. Things you would like to show others.

Matthew 6:20 Jesus says : "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

 I am going to try to take pictures of things that mean something to me; which isn't hard right?  Anyhow, I imagine you can have a lot of fun with it.

Being it is the first Tuesday of the New Year I am going to show you what I bought at the Zoo.

I went to Zoo Lights on Christmas Eve, and I saw what some people were wearing around their necks for new years, and I wanted one. You can't see the beautiful lights, but they blink and look pretty in the dark like you're a walking Christmas tree lol. I was hoping to do a karaoke video to share but the tent was closed :/ Even though we are told to avoid crowds because of the h1n1 flu and here, we still had a lot of fun, and there were a LOT of people there that night ., So anyway, can you see something else in there?

Who Has Exalted God The Most?

Jesus gave us a meditation on the 3rd joyful mystery : The Nativity (Mt 2.1-12 ; Lk 2.1-20): “it is in that Heart, in that Abyss of grace, I exercised My power ~ the Author of heaven and earth, the Author of grace found His heaven in heaven, His grace in grace, to come in the condition of a slave; I came to Prodigious Humility1 to serve and not to be served; I, the Redeemer of all mankind, the promised Messiah, came to the perfect image of My Sacred Heart to share the sorrows, the joys, the sufferings, the martyrdom, the wonders, the betrayals, the agonies, the scourging, the piercing, and the crucifixion; together Our Hearts atoned; ...” (25.3.96)

The Adoration of the Magi

Mt 2:1-12
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea,
in the days of King Herod,
behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,
“Where is the newborn king of the Jews?
We saw his star at its rising
and have come to do him homage.”
When King Herod heard this,
he was greatly troubled,
and all Jerusalem with him.
Assembling all the chief priests and the scribes of the people,
He inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea,
for thus it has been written through the prophet:
And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
since from you shall come a ruler,
who is to shepherd my people Israel.”
Then Herod called the magi secretly
and ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearance.
He sent them to Bethlehem and said,
“Go and search diligently for the child.
When you have found him, bring me word,
that I too may go and do him homage.”
After their audience with the king they set out.
And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them,
until it came and stopped over the place where the child was.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star,
and on entering the house
they saw the child with Mary his mother.
They prostrated themselves and did him homage.
Then they opened their treasures
and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod,

they departed for their country by another way.

Vassula writes:

This past Saturday here in Rhodes we have our prayer meeting. Not everyone was present that day but some only. Towards the end we took up the prayer I have given you, that one of the 25th November and we all prayed it. After that we opened the Greek bible (that was brand new) and I opened it. My finger went on Ezekiel ch. 7, verses 1-14. While reading it we all felt that it was like we were reading again the prayer! A continuation. When I opened the English bible so that I read it as my Greek is not that perfect, I had a book mark just there. What we understood from this is that the Lord was trying to emphasize the seriousness and urgency of His previous message which is the prayer.

This was the prayer, of November 25:

“Address Me Vassula in this way:

Tender Father, lash not Your wrath on this generation, lest they perish altogether; Lash not on Your flock distress and anguish, for the waters will run dry and nature will wither 1; all will succumb at Your wrath leaving no trace behind them;

The heat of Your Breath will put aflame the earth turning it into a waste!2 From the horizon a star will be seen; The night will be ravaged and ashes will fall as snow in winter, covering Your people like ghosts;

Take Mercy on us, God, and do not assess us harshly; Remember the hearts that rejoice in You and You in them! Remember Your faithful and let not Your Hand fall on us with force, But, rather in Your Mercy lift us and place Your precepts in every heart.3 Amen"
