Countdown to Halloween #Drawlloween Day 3 - MUMMY

I am trying a different prompt. see the list below. Today's prompt is Mummy. I wish I had known about this list sooner. Oh well. The artist is exceptionally good. You can find him on Instagram.

I don't have a tale but it does look like the Bee in my last post so ... it may have happened that the Bee tried the Zombie Juice and the Seasoning of the Witch turned him into a human Mummy instead? lol IDK. It is dangerous.

I'm following a ton of youtube video tutorials on how to draw cute mummies and other Halloween things. Check out Art for Kids Hub. It's so much fun.

Drawlloween ~Creature from the Black Legume

I wish the background was dark. I only colored part of the pumpkin with a brush pen in Microsoft paint but that shit is hard. Anyway, no digital software skills here :/ Oh well; All art references (the pumpkin bat and dragon ) come from WeHeartit.com. I can't draw without a reference just FYI.

#1

I thought to make the creature come out of the black legume and spiderwebs are for spiders NOT bats or dragons!... there must have been a hidden dragon egg inside of the pumpkin :p j/k I smeared carbon all over my page.

#2

Finally, this is closer to what I had in mind...but it's still not quite finished. I used baby oil on a Q-tip to blend the black smoke. I can't win for trying!

#3

I added a pile of autumn leaves scattered around the "legume" pumpkin to make it aesthetically pleasing lol I'm done. My favorite is #3.

See y'all tomorrow for Day 3 with another mess masterpiece (pfft) in the Countdown to Halloween Artober/Drawlloween/Inktober challenge.

Which one do you like best?

Countdown to Halloween #Drawlloween Day 1~Seasoning of the Witch

There is no proper link to reference the witch. It was simply a free witch clip art.  I traced it with a graphite pencil.

It Begins... Countdown to Halloween

I followed a fun and easy youtube video on how to draw a zombie's hand. What you are seeing is my own hand! I must say it turned out better than I expected and I think it looks awesome. It was super fun.

Let the countdown to Halloween begin ...!

For my part in this event, I will attempt (🔑⇠keyword) to draw#trace#doodle#interpret# the Drawlloween prompt or some other prompt, every day in October seeing as you never know what the Covid-19 will happen. I am just an old girl who wishes she could draw like an artist. I intend to celebrate all things riddikulus and wear cozy slippers, savour the autumn flavour, kick up some leaves fallen from the trees, drink pumpkin spice lattes AND read a scary book for Fraterfest.👻 October is my birth month🎂~which is the very reason I am not able to just sluff it off like I do September. (lol j/k) Anyway, this month is a fun time where we can intentionally become a crypt keeper and challenge ourselves to blog every day for the love of Halloween. If that's not compelling I don't know what is.

This year's theme is "Gothic Halloween" which I will most likely ignore because I don't know much about the dark age. I'm an enlivened human being.
I AM ALIVE!
