The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - I loved this movie .I think it would be good to watch with the whole family at Christmas time. I remember the part where the little girl goes through the wardrobe into a magical land of snow and I thought those scenes were so beautiful.

7 Quick Takes Friday- what's love got to do with it

I probably should mention my other blog. It was just a tester to try out other blogger templates that I was going to use once I figured it out, and I hadn't planned on having two blogs. I like the other template a lot, but I also like this one. Anyway, I figured out how the new 'page' function works that blogger has, and am pretty excited about that!

After reading another blogger post about 'what is love' that is when I decided to go see my boyfriend at work. Ya, sorry for not posting on 101 Wednesday, but I had to see him, and I meant to post a topic about marriage, but I never got around to it. It would have taken me all day I think; the subject of marriage is a hot topic around here. That day I had made my decision that we were going to get married! I was happy and couldn't stop thinking about it the whole time I was on the bus. Of course, he proposed to me, twice already, but I hadn't actually said yes, and it's all my fault we're not married. I've made many mistakes, so I was leaning more on the safe side. I need to pull up my bootstraps and do the right thing, but the problem is I don't know what the right decision is.

He works at the bottle depot. We've been together for about 3 years. He likes it when I bring him Timmy's coffee, so I did. I asked him to marry me lol. He said yes :) I stayed until he finished which was around 6 o'clock pm. We hung out after, watched him play pool with the guys, had a few beer, then we decided to go for supper at Chinook shopping center where we had some wicked wedges. That's pizza. I like going out, and it has been awhile since we went out on a date.

He also needed to buy some jeans for work. We found two pairs of jeans at the Gap for $30! That's a good deal btw, and he thought jeans were expensive anywhere else outside of Wal-mart or Zellers!

I was getting into the habit of staying up all night and sleeping most of the day. I spend most of my time on the computer. I wish I were a good writer though and it takes a lot of effort to just write a post, i.e., over an hour for this one. I'd settle for just putting my thoughts coherently down on paper. My mind races and I have to slow down, but then, I can't remember what I was going to say :/ Ya I'm not that good at it.

I had a scary dream the other night. My sister died, and my mom died. I just remember approaching my mom's body, praying "I believe in God " and thinking " I think you can bring her back ." I wanted to say that thinking it would happen. Now that I think about it, that was probably not God's will lol. It was a lot more real than that, which explains why I woke up and I went to put my arms around Phil who was sleeping next to me because I needed to feel safe. I always feel safe in his arms.

7 Quick Takes Friday (vol 68)

Bugs are invading my house! Tiny little flies that you find on fruit or sweet drinks Ya, you call them fruit flies I call them bugs. I'm afraid they are going to mutate. I caught one crawling on my hand :(  I don't know where they are coming from ... I have a storage bag of cans and bottles, but I don't see any in there. They like to fly around my computer and are so irritating. I hope they realize the light on my computer is fake and die already. I noticed there was a lot of them on my window sill also. ick .

I had a traumatic experience with fleas once, and I DO NOT LIKE THEM! That's another story.

There was no power when I woke up Thursday! I have been burning the midnight oil a lot. I woke up at 1 o'clock, and I realized the power was out. So I got dressed and ready and called to let Phil know because I thought it was our fault for not paying the bill (only we did), and was thinking I would go to the library to use their computer when it came back on! All my troubles seemed so far away :P

I needed to refill my prescription at Safeway and overheard someone saying his power was out for about half an hour also. Apparently, some construction workers might have cut some power lines, cause I wasn't the only one.

We have a portable air conditioner that has an exhaust hose to stick in an open window, it helps to circulate the air, and the window is open all the time, but I had to close our window because it was freezing in here! The weather has been pretty cold, and I can't use the air conditioner when the window is closed.

 The pipes in the walls have been so noisy too. When we first moved here, I couldn't sleep cause they were so loud. Between cold weather and pipes freezing it would cause a flood in the building, I'm sure. It happened before. I closed the window and turned up the heat, and it seems to be fine now except for those damn bugs!

Dear God. I want a walk-in shower. Yours truly.

UPDATE: the bugs are gone, and so is our plant we bought for Xmas! Apparently, that was where the bugs were coming from. Yay!

7 Quick Takes Friday

1~

Got caught up on our bills this month. The stress was I had forgotten to pay HBC, and the phone was ringing off the hook, argh, and we even got a letter from the creditor, my first one ever, but that was taken care of phew.

I got my period. You may think that's a silly thing, but when you're my age, I keep wondering when I'm going to hit menopause and 'IT' still never ceases to come back. By now I'm pretty good at knowing when I'm going to get my period. I usually get emotional and weep over every little thing. But I am a little concerned when 'IT' doesn't come regularly, that's when I think I get more impatient and snippy.

I don't know what the weak spells are from, but I get sudden weak spells, and my ears start ringing, and I start to shake, then I start sweating. It's weird. It usually happens when I don't eat, though . I am also terrified I will pass out. I was at Safeway once, and I broke out in a sweat at the check out counter. I was kind of embarrassed, but I don't think anyone noticed. I wonder... would they have seen if I had passed out? lol .

My neighbor came over to visit. We talked about starting a bible study. I got this Catholic Scripture Study awhile ago from http://www.cssinfo.org/and have been meaning to do it, but I don't know where or when or even how.

We ate take out food 3 times this week. I hate cooking, poor Phil. One night we ordered Pizza, another night we had Subs, and tonight we had hamburgers. Disgraceful I know. I'm trying to lose weight. I think I should do the Master Cleanser again.

I went grocery shopping, but only spent about 45 dollars I loved sweet peas and bought a big bag of them. I also bought another refillable scented thingy.They don't last that long or the batteries don't, one or the other lol. I have 280 dollars to the budget for two weeks woo-hoo, that's pretty good considering we both smoke *cough*. We can't complain cause we waste our money.

I don't do laundry every day, so the laundry piles up in the corner of our room, in a hamper of course, but we bought it at Ikea, and it has no lid, anyway, I am reminded when it begins to stink lol.

It was Sunday, and the Laundry room in our building is on the main floor. We live on the 8th and so occasionally my boyfriend, Phil, helps me on his day off, and I usually look forward to it. Honestly, I already know men don't know how to wash clothes or fold towels and sheets :P but the argument was partly because of my impatience and partly because people don't know how to fold clothes. I want it done my way dammit!
