A reflection on Saturdays Sacred Scripture

Follow Me. (Luke 5:27) Two simple words--a universe of meaning.

"Follow me" is a simple command, but, like the cross each of us is to bear, it has a meaning that is unique to each individual.

Everyone is called to follow Jesus, to discover the salvation wrought for each person by God. Each person is to follow Jesus and to proclaim the gospel--but once again, how each person does that is in part decided by how that person has been formed in the image of God. Some preach, some write, some cook, some clean homes, some listen, some read to handicapped children, some drive people to and from church and meetings. There are millions of ways to follow Jesus.

So while the words are simple, the possibilities are endless. And the season of Lent is a perfect time to discover what those possibilities might be. By fasting, repentance, almsgiving, and prayer, we set out to discover what God wants from us. This is a season for that kind of work--a specially blessed season during which we can discover what it means to follow Jesus.

Jim Caviezel visits Medugorje

He has been there before. I remember reading somewhere, when he was filming The count of Monte Cristo , at that time, his wife was in Medugorje and she told him about it . Did you ever see that movie? I think it's one of my favourites. Did you notice the picture of Our Lady on the bedroom wall in that scene when he was in his mansion after he had made himself the count of monte cristo and he was reunited with his wife finally? I think it was when they made love etc. Anyway here he is in Medugorje with his wife Kerri.

It was reported on Medugorje.net that he was visiting Medugorje again. Jim Caviezel played Jesus in the Mel Gibsons movie 'Passion of the Christ' . I think it is one of those movies that we should watch every Easter . I don't know how many times I can watch the 10 commandments but I have both movies .

The letter 'E' is for ....

EFFORT
Hard work never killed anybody, but it is illegal in some places.

Since it takes a lot of EFFORT for me just to make a post I thought it was an appropriate word.

What is Eco-Spirituality? Is it polluting our religion?

This week I would like to point out a few things and share with you a video . If you would like to participate click on the logo above and you will be directed to Dawn Farias' blog . Thank you .

The topic is about Eco-spirituality. Is it polluting our Religion? or as Michael voris says compromising our faith? What is it? skip to the video for clarification

Take a look at this lenten Carbon Fast Calendar <--- it sounds pretty cool . It tells us things like :
"Remove one light bulb from your home and live without its light for the next 40 days.

This will decrease your energy use, and act as a reminder of your Lenten Carbon Fast."
I don't know who green souls are but for example for March 28 it says:
"Think today about the role of our church in its local environment. Could our community better care for Creation? Get involved with our green work, and get inspired by other “green souls” through Interfaith Power & Light (gwIPL.org)."

Michael voris thinks the USCCB is combining spiritual with the profane. Now, I'm not particularly interested in the United States conference of Catholic Bishops but it isn't a secret that "diabolical disorientation"  has been going on for years on the inside, and if it's true , they need to repent . We need to pray for these bishops . I normally don't like to get involved in politics cause for one I don't understand it ,2 it seems foolish to me and 3 I don't like it . However, if you don't like what is going on with Our Church and would like to vote for a reform you can sign a petition or find it on my sidebar .

So, we have the USCCB, a lenten Carbon Fast and a petition . I haven't heard anything more about this except on realcatholictv.com and all's I hear is that the American Church has set out on a course of accomodation , accomodating societies values and not being catholic enough so the Church of America looks very protestant in many ways.

So that's the politically correct way of saying certain groups have fallen from Grace and are corrupt!!? I would rather hear the truth in the bible and the many prophetic messages we have been given for our times.  Sadly there are those shepherds inside the church who are lost .

My Beautiful Blogger Award

go to robinsgothealth blog

Today I received my first award! I can't believe it. Robin is truly a beautiful blogger and she nominated me for this award :) It means a lot to me so thank you Robin!

Rules for this Award:
Thank the person who kindly passes this to you, and link your award back to them!

List 7 things about yourself

Pass it on to 15 Beautiful Bloggers!

So here are 7 things about me:
1. I was born in Tunisia.
2. My tubes are tied.
3. I only iron my clothes if I have to, which is never. I definitely do not iron my sheets or towels
4  Couscous is one of my favourite food and lunch is my favourite meal.
5. I used to wear a lot of makeup .
6. I was involved with Excel, and Amway and never made a dime .
7. I am scared of driving in the mountains and I prefer beaches to mountains .

because it's hard to just describe 7 things about me I took the liberty of using some of those questions that are commonly asked in those online 'getting to know' quizzes , which I randomly got off of another blog

I think it's going to be hard for me to find 15 blogs to nominate. I would nominate Robin@robinsgothealth too if I could. I don't know many people and vice versa; not many people leave me comments . I know there are some real beautiful blogs out there but they don't know me and that would just be wierd to be nominated by some random blogger wouldn't it? At least I hope these ones have heard of me . Some of them don't follow my blog , and I don't know their real names but I follow them :) Ya this didn't work well for me , sorry .
