My 100 word essay based on a prompt

WEEK 4 PROMPT
“May I help you, miss? You look puzzled.”
“Mmmm… thank you, I’m just looking for my father. We came in together a moment ago, but he seems to have wandered off.”

"He's been having problems lately with his Alzheimers and I worry that he will get hit by a car or something worse" I explained.
"The doctor diagnosed him just last week, and he told me I should keep a close eye on him , but I don't seem to have the patience for this . He obviously doesn't follow me or take orders and I think your facilities are just what he needs."
The nurse seemed as alarmed as I was and told me she would have someone inspect the premises right away. "What is your fathers name?" "William but he responds to Wil just fine" It was a bit of a relief and I had a good feeling this place genuinely cared for their patients.

  2. That time of life when we reverse roles with our parents is one of the most challenging. Thanks for the reminder.

  3. Oh, do I know that feeling of having to put a parent somewhere. It's not fun but when it's for their health and safety, I think its the best thing to do. Great post.

  7. Hi Jackie, really well written. Alzheimers is so sad. Losing yourself must be the greatest sorrow there can be.

    Thanks for linking up.
