K is for Karaoke

At our halloween party 2008 we sang Karaoke . It looked like we were singing anyway . well, we didn't know how to do the volume but it was Phil's first time and he was kinda nervous and shy so don't laugh . I gained a lot of weight, gosh, I don't know how I do it *pfff* ya right maybe if I ate more Kale in my smoothies  :P He was Captain Jack  Sparrow and I was supposed to be a dark Nymph with blue hair!

I had sung Karaoke probably 3 times before . We made a singing Christmas 2008 Karaoke video at the Zoo lights too but it's on my other computer dangit!  Of course I need to lose weight ! !!!!.... Here I am Christmas 2007 .

I think I will go kill myself with a sharp knife . JUST KIDDING :)

I would really love to visit Kazakhstan . My brother worked there.  We went to see the movie Borat and I thought I was in the wrong movie theater . "That movie was the most ridiculous movie we had ever seen !"  We both felt it wasn't worth watching , but I'm glad we decided to stay anyway. The thing I liked about it was we got to see Kazakhstan :)   I still think borat is ridiculous.

My question is : Have they forgotten the word of God? 1 Cor 5:9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.... vs 11 says this : But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral....not even to eat with such a person. 12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges, Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

Is pedophilia not a crime? Why was heresy considered such an evil crime in the inquisition?  Is this crime of 'solicitation' no less grave? It's worse imo. The whole world agrees that a pedophile should be hung by his balls .

I think excommunication , and handing them over to the secular authorities is the right thing to do if  I were the Pope.

According to bishopaccountability.org there have been 4,392 allegations of sexual abuse of priests between 1950-2002 . That is way too many . All allegations should be taken seriously and I am under the impression that if some priest receives a confession of this nature they are obliged to report it to the ordinaries. See crimen sollicitationis . Why the secrecy is beyond me . That is an obstruction of justice . If I knew a priest was doing that to kids , I have a duty to report it and so should the Church .

On the other hand , I understand the secrecy in confession but the priest confessors are supposed to give them advice . The best advice in that circumstance would be for them to admit their crime to the ordinaries and/or church authorities and cooperate with them .

I think I am evangelizing and having fun. I don't have any degrees, but I hope I can be an echo at least. I figure if you aren't having fun then why bother?

Spirit matters are important to me, as well, are Health and humor etc...so yes I am talking about what I love. I blog because I want to brag share and communicate my Faith. It's not all about apologetics it's about relationships and communication. Pope John Paul II exhorts us to evangelize our faith through communications medias such as computers and the internet, and thanks to blogger it's as easy as 1,2,3.

I chose the title of my blog because the internet is said to be a highway but Proverbs 15:19: "The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns, but the way of the upright is a highway." The straight and narrow spirituality. That is what my blog is about

Anyhow, the first part of that proverb has to do with the upright which I believe to be Jacob and his descendents .

We read in Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

If you go back to Luke 1:33 "And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom, there will be no end." These are descendants of Jacob.Sons and daughters

Halawa means sweet in Arabic. It is an israeli nougat-like candy. A long time ago, the Egyptians made a sweet confectionary using Sesame and Honey or Sugar. They use it for eating and for hair removal.

The halawa I ate when I was a kid was nut-butter based , either made with Tahini or sunflower seed(sesame based paste) It was dry, crumbly and yummy .

101 wednesday- "Brothers" of Jesus?

What's this about the "brothers" of Jesus? Did Mary have other children? No. The word 'brother' speaks of a 'close friend' relationship and/or cousin or nephew, NOT a literal brother. Jesus did not have LITERAL brothers! The bible does indeed mention the "brothers" of Jesus in Mark 6:3, “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon...”. James, Joses, Simon and Judas were sons of Clopas (sons of Mary, the wife of Clopas) John 19:25, Mk 15:40, the OTHER Mary! Also, Clopas' other name was Alphaeus. How do I know? Mary had only Jesus, and if you believe she bore other children, it makes you as dumb as a heretic. For to commit heresy, one must refuse to be corrected. • Mary, wife of Cleopas and 'sister' of the Virgin Mary (Jn 19:25) is the mother of James and Joses (Mk 15:47; Mt 27:56) who are called the "brothers of Jesus" (Mk 6:3).
• Acts 1:12-15 Apostles, Mary, some women and Jesus' brother's number about 120. That is a lot of brothers.
• Gen 14:14 Lot, Abraham's nephew (Gen 11:26-28), described as Abraham's brother (KJV).
• Gen 29:15 Laban, Jacob's uncle, calls Jacob his brother (KJV).
• John 19:26-27 Jesus gives the care of Mary to John, not one of his brothers.
• Zechariah 12:10 Predicts the Messiah will be an only child.
