Getting Rid Of My Acne

Ok , I am on a quest to get rid of my Acne. Up until now I had been using antibiotics and obviously it did not cure it cause I still have horrible breakouts and I do not want nor do I intend to take prescribed medication for the rest of my life!  so , here is what I found out on juicing-for-health.com .
It suggests to stay away from fried stuff, trans-fatty acids, refined carbohydrates and processed foods.  Wheat, chocolate, sugar and alcohol also cause allergic skin reactions.
  • - Done .Oh.  I bought a juicer . It should be arriving next week .  This is easy to do since I have been on a raw food diet , and I know those things irritate my skin  particularly alcohol and it is always helpful if you want to lose weight to stay away from all that.
Avoid excessive iodine as it can irritate pores and further cause inflammation to the acne.  Iodine are high in iodized (table) salt, in fried foods, sea weed (keep away from that sushi), shellfish and dairy products (except yogurt).
  • - well I already switched to using sea salt or himalayan crystal salt and I have only eaten sushi once and I don't like seafood especially, but sea weed? hmmm I'll have to check into that cause there are some greens that I heard Cherie Soria use in her raw recipes .
  • - Cherie Soria, is “The Mother of Gourmet Raw Cuisine”, founder and director of the Living Light Culinary Institute, in California. She is the author of three books including Raw Food Revolution Diet: Feast, Lose Weight, Gain Energy, Feel Younger .
Maintain a general care of your acne by washing the affected areas with a mild soap.  Use only water-based cosmetic (if you must use cosmetic), otherwise avoid cosmetic to prevent further clogging of the pores.
  • -Ok . lately I have been using a bit of antibacterial soap on my facecloth lol . I know that’s harsh . I also use an apricot facial scrub from St. Yves .
Increase your intake of zinc, vitamins A and E, selenium, chromium and folic acid.  These can be found in most nuts, wheat grain cereals, brewer's yeast, legumes, sweet potatoes and liver.  Eat also papaya, persimmons and apricots for their high-content of vitamin A.
  • - No problem :) I love all kinds of nuts . I even had persimmons for the first time at the last raw food meetup I attended . They were good in pie :)
It is important during this time, to drink lots (and I mean lots) of pure water to flush out the toxins.  Drink lots of juices also, especially those high in vitamin A, beta-carotene and anti-oxidants. Heal from within and you will rid your acne for good.
  • - Drinking Juice is what I am doing now :)
Note: For severe acne cases, take 2 tbsp of fresh flaxseed oil a day, and drink plenty juices. Do this faithfully for at least two weeks and you will see much of your acne clear up.
  • - I didn't know this! Great! I am going to have to get some flaxseed oil .
