M is for Master Cleanser

The Master Cleanse is something I have greatly benefited from in the past and I credit it to me wanting to live a raw food lifestyle . I found the booklet inspiring and full of good information  but if you want you can just click on the picture for the pdf online version.
The book has more info and goes into much more detail as to how the lemons and maple syrup and cayenne pepper are good for you and why. I am thinking of doing it again beginning January 15th . Who's in?
Here's the recipe to make the lemonade :

* 2 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed organic lemon juice
* 2 Tablespoons of grade B maple syrup
* 1/10 Teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
* 10 oz of filtered water

This is just a single serving of lemonade, but you should drink 6-12 servings a day.
Let me just add , a 6oz glass of water with some squeezed lemon is always a good start to any day .

As you all may remember Jenny Matlock was offering lemons from her front yard! , and I'm still wondering if I will be getting any since she said she sent something in the mail but I haven't received anything yet and I don't know what it is :(

Anyway , we all know lemons are a natural cleansing agent and are considered to be ideal for detoxification of the body. They are hailed by many as a miracle fruit and one of the most alkalinizing foods.

Thank you for stopping by today ! This has been another edition of Alphabe Thursday with the letter 'M'

  1. My lemons came two weeks ago. Do you think there is a mail carrier that loved the smell of your box?

  2. I can't seem to go more than two hours without eating, so I'm not sure that is for me.

I certainly could stand to lose a few pounds though....

  9. We have a lemon tree, too, and while I don't want to do the cleanse, I would like to try your recipe! It sounds interesting to use maple syrup instead of sugar. I'm curious to see what it tastes like!

    =)

PS. I love the font on your blog.

  11. Hi Jackie, I can't send you lemons because you're in Canada. They wont allow them through customs.

I sent you something else instead...but it does take longer to process. I just checked my shipping log and it is still 'out for delivery'.

Please let me know if it doesn't show up in a day or so!

This cleanse sounds like something wonderful to try! How did you feel doing it, though?

Thanks for an interesting stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday.

    A+
