A to Z Challenge: The Letter E for Enemies Entombed | EarthDust

My A to Z Challenge contains names, places and things that are found in a series of books called The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. If you haven't read these books, which I recommend, please be aware there will be spoilers.

E is for Enemies, EarthDust and Elyreum

They have been slumbering underneath Arlington Abbey for millennia.
After the song of making was sung the world changed and the walls between realms no longer protected humans from the Fae and caused Earth dust to awaken from their sleep.

EarthDust: Soulstealer, Papa Roach and AOZ

Balor is amassing his army to destroy the humans and Fae. I gather he wants to be worshipped as a god again. He attempts to take Dani's soul but fails, and only Dani becomes stronger by injuring his leg with her lightning bolt hand. -"Balor, King of Fomorians, is often described as a giant with a large eye that wreaks destruction when opened. It is said as a child, Balor stared into a cauldron of poison, or a spell of death being brewed by druids, and the fumes caused him to grow an enormous toxic eye. He was eventually killed by Lugh, in the battle between the Fae and Fomorians for dominion of Ireland."-(excerpt from page 343 of HighVoltage)   The soulstealer feeds on souls like they were his protein powder.

Papa Roach aka Gustaine
I don't remember when he first appears. I think After the Wall Crash? in Iced? At that time the Crimson Hag and the Hoar Frost King were the enemies but are since dead. Papa Roach is a sneaky one. He's small and underneath your feet. He can get into small cracks and spaces, like drain pipes. Ugh! I think he used to work for Cruce the Unseelie Prince, now he works for Balor.
Gustaine wonders if he'd pledged his services hastily when he sees Balors injured a leg, but is dispatched to find Dani's whereabouts.

AOZ pronounced Ahhhhs is a small deceitful little man who tricks Dani into giving him her sword, but she doesn't give it to him or anyone else.

Elyreum in Fae loosely means "the forbidden garden or "dark paradise." In other words In a gadda da Vida, baby :) Elyreum is an exotic and erotic club filled with humans and Fae gyrating, grinding and having sex. Its walls have big LED screens with images of porn on them. Underneath the dance floor, live humans are trapped in an endless orgy. Once on a date, Ryodan took Dani to the club to see if they could ascertain how the Fae had changed the world and the whereabouts of Mac and Barrons. They noticed the Fae had become more 'viscerally terrifying' and new fae royalty were being born and they never accepted Mac as their queen either.
