#AtoZchallenge— R is for —the RED (. . .)

From the Shadow Lands in Asshai to the Shores of Dragonstone and the frozen lands beyond the Wall comes the 10th anniversary of the AtoZ challenge...

The Red Keep is filmed in Dubrovnik. It is where we learn about the evil exploits of King Joffrey and Cersei Lannister.

The Red Wedding. This is the scene of the most notorious deaths in Game of Thrones, probably.

The Red Comet. Old Nan was the only character to interpret it as dragons. In the TV adaptation, it is Osha who got her prediction correct. The Red Comet is a sign there be dragons.

The Red Waste. It is a harsh and dangerous desert in Essos where even the Dothraki will not traverse. It is more of a blasted wasteland than a simple sandy desert.

The Red Woman Melisandre is a red priestess of the red god, R'hllor, the Lord of Light, whose worship involves the idolization of fire and light.

The Red Viper Prince Oberyn Martell

Red, Red Wine. Just saying. They drink a lot of wine in the Red Keep.
"The Lord of Light wants his enemies burned, the Drowned God wants them drowned. Why are all the gods such vicious c--ts? Where's the god of t--s and wine?" — Tyrion Lannister

Can you guess who the letter is?

_____, eldest son of Lord Eddard Stark and Lady Catelyn Tully is the heir of House Stark of Winterfell and the North. He is called the Young Wolf by friend and foe alike.

  1. I really haven't read much of these types of stories. I think the odd spelling of the names and some of the words makes it hard for me to follow. I love the castle picture.

  3. As a SF fan, I enjoyed the fiction of George R.R. Martin years before te world discovered his epic writing through Game of Thrones. Because I didn't have HBO I'e never listened ut now I may ust start from the beginning. It's amazing how one author can write something so epic. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
