The Red Wedding. This is the scene of the most notorious deaths in Game of Thrones, probably.
The Red Comet. Old Nan was the only character to interpret it as dragons. In the TV adaptation, it is Osha who got her prediction correct. The Red Comet is a sign there be dragons.
The Red Waste. It is a harsh and dangerous desert in Essos where even the Dothraki will not traverse. It is more of a blasted wasteland than a simple sandy desert.
The Red Woman Melisandre is a red priestess of the red god, R'hllor, the Lord of Light, whose worship involves the idolization of fire and light.

ReplyDeleteAs a SF fan, I enjoyed the fiction of George R.R. Martin years before te world discovered his epic writing through Game of Thrones. Because I didn't have HBO I'e never listened ut now I may ust start from the beginning. It's amazing how one author can write something so epic. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
