That suddenly he finds out the truth about his life, that he's not a bastard and that his new love is his aunt. Ned Stark understood how dangerous the truth about Jon being Aegon Targaryen sixth of his name, protector of the realm and heir to the Iron Throne was, and that's why he protected Jon from it.

____, a red-haired wildling woman said to be lucky and kissed by fire. She coined the phrase "You know nothing, Jon Snow". They were lovers on set, and in real life, they are married FYI. 
I loved her, too bad she didn't last long. Jon still knows nothing, in my opinion :D
