#AtoZchallenge —Q is for —Qarth

From the Shadow Lands in Asshai to the Shores of Dragonstone and the frozen lands beyond the Wall comes the 10th anniversary of the AtoZ challenge...
The City of Qarth, located in Essos, is filmed on the Island of Lokrum off the coast of Dubrovnik Croatia. It is the city where Dani leads her people to and out of the red waste. She is greeted by the Thirteen leaders of Qarth and one of them is Xaro Xoan Daxos who welcomes her and ensures she will be safe. However, he betrays Dani by conspiring with the warlock Pyat Pree to steal her dragons which they have chained up in the House of the Undying. She's mad but I love what she does and how she gets herself out of the messy predicament by not letting anyone get in between her ambitions of becoming Queen of the Iron Throne and by not letting anything stop her from going back home to Dragonstone.

Can you guess who the letter is?

Q____ is an experienced ranger of the Night's Watch and second-in-command at the Shadow Tower. He is called Halfhand because he lost all the fingers on his right hand except his thumb and forefinger to a wildling axe. Because of this, he was forced to train himself how to fight left-handed and became just as proficient with his left hand as he had been with his right. When ___ met up with Lord Commander Mormont at the Fist of the First Men, he advised sending three scouting parties into the mountains to discover what Mance was looking for, one of which he led personally. His party included Jon Snow. After separating with Jon, in search for him, ___ is captured and his men killed. Later he sacrifices himself by provoking Jon into a fight so Jon can gain the wildlings' trust.
