Soon everyone will realize
We know that the only way to the Father is through Jesus but not everyone knows the role Mary plays. Hopefully the 5th Marian Dogma will set the record straight and that the doctrine of Co-redemptrix and Mediatrix of All Graces and advocate is True.
In that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus and no one comes to Jesus unless the Father draws him.
No one comes to Jesus except through Mary and no one comes to Mary unless Jesus draws him.

Priests and the digital world: Part 1
Priests and the digital world: Part 1
29/01/2010 (2:34)
In light of Pope Benedict XVI’s recent message for the 44th World Communications Day, Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, gave an exclusive interview to H2onews about the connection that the theme has with the Year for Priests, which the Church is currently celebrating.
“This year, the Pope has chosen a specific motif related to the Year for Priests; its theme is ‘The priest and pastoral ministry in a digital world: New media at the service of the Word.’
It is compelling because the Pope in his message discusses the role that priests must play and exercise in the domain of digital pastoral work; however, it is not only directed to priests.
The message addresses the entire Church that must discover, little by little, the role that priests play in this new field of digital pastoral work.”
The fundamental task of every priest is to love the Gospel message, to be an example of the Word of God for all of the Church’s members and to remind all mankind of the great love that is to be found in the Good News.
“The theme is important because the Pope is recognizing how, in this particular sector, a priest must continue to be very faithful to the Gospel message, he must be a fervent witness of the Word of God, he must remind lost humanity -- as the message itself states -- that God is near, that God loves man; this is the fundamental idea of the Good News, its great announcement.”
Archbishop Celli stressed the invitation that the Pope makes in his message.
“It seems to me that this is the big challenge, the serene, profound and all-involving announcement, which the Pope addresses to all of us in his message for the 44th World Communications Day.”

7 Quick Takes Friday
1~
Got caught up on our bills this month. The stress was I had forgotten to pay HBC, and the phone was ringing off the hook, argh, and we even got a letter from the creditor, my first one ever, but that was taken care of phew.
~2
I got my period. You may think that's a silly thing, but when you're my age, I keep wondering when I'm going to hit menopause and 'IT' still never ceases to come back. By now I'm pretty good at knowing when I'm going to get my period. I usually get emotional and weep over every little thing. But I am a little concerned when 'IT' doesn't come regularly, that's when I think I get more impatient and snippy.
3~
I don't know what the weak spells are from, but I get sudden weak spells, and my ears start ringing, and I start to shake, then I start sweating. It's weird. It usually happens when I don't eat, though . I am also terrified I will pass out. I was at Safeway once, and I broke out in a sweat at the check out counter. I was kind of embarrassed, but I don't think anyone noticed. I wonder... would they have seen if I had passed out? lol .
4~
My neighbor came over to visit. We talked about starting a bible study. I got this Catholic Scripture Study awhile ago from http://www.cssinfo.org/and have been meaning to do it, but I don't know where or when or even how.
5~
We ate take out food 3 times this week. I hate cooking, poor Phil. One night we ordered Pizza, another night we had Subs, and tonight we had hamburgers. Disgraceful I know. I'm trying to lose weight. I think I should do the Master Cleanser again.
6~
I went grocery shopping, but only spent about 45 dollars I loved sweet peas and bought a big bag of them. I also bought another refillable scented thingy. They don't last that long or the batteries don't, one or the other lol. I have 280 dollars to the budget for two weeks woo-hoo, that's pretty good considering we both smoke *cough*. We can't complain cause we waste our money.
~7
I don't do laundry every day, so the laundry piles up in the corner of our room, in a hamper of course, but we bought it at Ikea, and it has no lid, anyway, I am reminded when it begins to stink lol.
It was Sunday, and the Laundry room in our building is on the main floor. We live on the 8th and so occasionally my boyfriend, Phil, helps me on his day off, and I usually look forward to it. Honestly, I already know men don't know how to wash clothes or fold towels and sheets :P but the argument was partly because of my impatience and partly because people don't know how to fold clothes. I want it done my way dammit!

When will I be motivated?
I have a long ways to go...in being a successful blogger. It's a lot harder than it seems . For me anyway , when I read so many blogs out there I get discouraged because I find it very hard to keep readers/followers interested or entertained or whatever . I never took a creative writing course but it's something I would like to do . I don't know if creative writing was the purpose for starting my blog but I know that if I kept an online journal it would be boring . ha! I try, I really do. I have noticed my brain seems to function better at night when I'm not distracted from the noise of ringing phones, police cars and sirens and ambulances and the daily hustle and bustle which tends to tire me easily . I get zapped of energy or perhaps I'm just lazy . lol

Voiding the Voices of Heaven
The Catechism (par.67) plainly says that while the Magisterium is to "guide" us in discernment, "the sensus fidelium [the faithful!] know how to discern and welcome in[to the Church] these revelations." Jesus said it this way, "My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me!"
The Church, the only way to Salvation
Welcome to 101 Wednesday. If you would like to participate, click on the image to find out how.
There is no Salvation outside the Catholic Church.
what does that mean?
Does it mean that unless you are a material part of the Roman Catholic Church you have little or no chance to make it to Heaven?
Does it even mean one must be at least a Catholic in the mystical sense (in the New Covenant) through a valid Baptism of some other church to make it to Heaven?
Jesus clearly revealed there would be many completely outside the Christian Covenant that would “sit down with Abraham in the Kingdom of Heaven” while many who were in the Covenant would be cast out (Matthew 8:11,12).
That there is no salvation outside the Catholic Faith has a far deeper and more profound meaning than how this is often interpreted by traditionalist Catholics. It means that without the Catholic Faith, and the Catholic Church in this world, all Gospel truth, no matter where else it may presently be found, would soon be extinguished, and thus all human life would be eternally lost. With that Faith and that Church presently in the world many are finding saving grace without knowing its fullness or even recognizing the Church from which it comes. The important point here is that one does not have to be conscious of the source of saving grace for one to experience it. God’s saving grace through the Catholic Church reaches many outside its walls and outside personal involvement with its Holy Sacraments!

We are made for Love NOT Hate, Peace NOT War.
I read a post on someone else's blog called "Praise the LORD , pass the ammunition" . While I love the Dixie Chicks and that song , I do not believe there is such a thing as a just war .
"War is a punishment of God to chastise men, and it is a sign that man is no longer a true son of God. When the Most High created the world, He made all things: the sun, the sea, the stars, the rivers, the plants, the animals, but He did not make arms. He created man and gave him eyes that he might cast loving glances, and a mouth to utter loving words, and ears to listen to such words, and hands to give help and to caress, and feet to run fast to assist our neighbours in need, and a heart capable of loving. He gave man intelligence, speech, affections and taste. But He did not give man hatred. Why? Because man, a creature of God, was to be love as God is Love. If man had remained a creature of God, he would have persevered in love, and the human family would have not known either war or death." - [from the poem of the man god volume 1 page 271.]
What is the 1st commandment? "You shall love your God with all your strength, and your neighbour as yourself".

The Story of Fatima
This is in response to another blogger, 5thsister. I just finished watching the movie! And I think it is worth seeing and I highly recommend it. I really liked it. The movie is in black and white, except the apparitions are in color :) There are subtitles in another language. The Blessed Virgin Mary was depicted nicely in the movie as she was beautiful. I hear she is exquisite. I liked how nonchalantly Lucia asked Our Lady to give the other people a sign so they might believe them and she did. The Sun danced! And that was cool. After that, the people believed the children. There were over 70,000 individuals who saw the Miracle of the Sun that day. I read somewhere that God was in the Sun, and He wanted to draw near His children, but that it made the crowds run for fear, they were terrified, cause they thought it was the end of the world. That wasn't said in the movie; just so you know. However, they did show some of them running in fear.
At the end of the movie, they quoted Matthew 11:25 "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.[NAB] Lucia of Fatima, the last remaining seer, said "It is her hope that Fatima will always be a light in the darkness and she said the word 'Fatima,' in another language, means 'Peace.' I think it is. More and more, people will come to realize this too. :)
Pray for priests and pray for Our Blessed Mother's intentions.
A prayer before the Rosary
Queen of the Holy Rosary, you have deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children the treasures of grace hidden in the Rosary. Inspire my heart with a sincere love of this devotion, in order that by meditating on the Mysteries of our Redemption which are recalled in it, I may be enriched with its fruits and obtain peace for the world, the conversion of sinners and of Russia, and the favour which I ask of you in this Rosary.
(Here mention your request.)
I ask it for the greater glory of God, for your own honor, and for the good of souls, especially for my own. Amen.
Submit Not To Allah!
This video was made by 3 former muslim women . Some of you may think it is just another anti-Islamic video and therefore not politically correct or however you think. That's fine but I am against Islam. That doesn't mean I am against the Muslim people. I am trying to understand , what is happening in our world today, and why Islam has suddenly become popular after all these centuries!
I am against the Islamisation of Christian nations. I don't believe they are a peaceful religion and they need a conversion . I believe Jesus Christ is the ONLY Way, Truth and Life. Their can be no PEACE without Jesus Christ who is the King of Peace. This is why I feel it is a LIE that they think Islam is a religion of peace. NO! It is a worldly kingdom . Jesus' Kingdom is His Church .
Another reason is, I think the Anti-Christ will be a Muslim cleric , according to a message I heard given through John Leary.
I could not be a Muslim because they believe Islam is THE way of life and it totally rejects the Trinity and Jesus Christ as LORD!
Islam was practically unheard of in this country when I was growing up , or perhaps i just wasn't aware of them in Canada until 9-11. I believe they are deceived .... it seems like ancient pagan idolatry to me.
Submit Not to Allah!
They bow to mecca and worship Allah who isn't God like many people think . Allah was the name of a black stone that the people worshipped. Allah is a pagan god! They had many idols and that was one of them . Mohammed desecrated all but that one . Why? Why do they do that? They are after all human and God's creature also . However, God is a Trinity! I believe that Islam is a false religion and Mohammed a false prophet.
Movie Night
We are going to be watching the 13th Day. The Story of Fatima. We rented it from CatholicsSharing.com. I pretty much know a lot about the story, but never really thought profoundly/meditatively about Our Lady's messages at Fatima, only that I believe she appeared there in the groves or was it the pines(cova da Iria), where the 3 shepherd children pastured their sheep. I think the miracle of the Sun, that it was Our Father who wanted to draw close to His children there, yes, He was in the Sun. People were terrified of it and actually thought the world was going to end that day. I think that made Him real sad . I know I would be , if people were scared of me . I believe he's sad that not many people actually know Him *sigh* .
The children were shown visions of heaven, hell , and purgatory and that Our Lady was sent by God , who wanted to establish devotion to Her Immaculate Heart in order to save the World . I also believe , Garabandal was the 2nd sequel to Fatima, and Medugorje is the 3rd sequel. The Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is an important one, for many reasons I have yet to find out , and the 5 first Saturdays . The children were told to pray their rosary .... a lot, and to make many sacrifices in reparation for sins of others and their own . If the requests are not granted than God would send a terrible chastisement on the world , one of the requests of Our Lady was, to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. I know that Pope John Paul II blessed the whole world but I'm not sure if that is according to Our Lady's request. She did say that "In the End My Immaculate Heart will Triumph, and a period of peace will be given to mankind". This Triumph of the Immaculate Heart has to do with Jesus' coming again I think. You can read more about the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Fr. Gobbis website : The Marian Movement of Priests. I quote:
Anyway there is so much that has been revealed to us by way of 'private revelation' , and I don't like how the Church is dealing with these so called 'private revelations' . I don't think that is the correct word for it either. Since most of the messages are meant for the whole Church and the World . I have to say in the words of Jesus : "Father , Forgive them, they know not what they do" . The contention with me , comes when people say 'we don't have to believe in them cause they are not yet approved or that the Church says the bible and Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium is all we need . I say " PFFT!" If God didn't care and/or Love us , He wouldn't be sending His Mother all over the world! and He would have never sent The Prophets in the Old Testament to hear His Words . Guess what? They didn't like it either , cause it was about them ! Israel has been suffering ever since they killed the prophets and crucified Our Lord. Why isn't this clear to them ? What does God have to do ? knock them over the head with a two by four? I think they need to be more humble like children and listen to their Heavenly Father and bow their heads instead of acting like they know-it-all. They need to repent . The messages of Ezekiel talking about the Shepherds is still valid today. Ezekiel 34:1-31

God Blesses any step however small, towards Christian Unity
This was and still is Christ's desire. That we may all be one! John 17, 21-23
God, You who are full of Compassion,
let Your Face smile on us to unite us,
look down from heaven,
look at our division that reigns now in Your Church,
Your lambs, My Shepherd,
are perishing in great numbers
as they search to pasture to keep life in them;
listen to the groans of the Church;
this great Apostasy predicted
is robbing You of Your children,
bring to Your Church
this Day of Glory You once foretold
so that we may all be one,
Lord, do not remain silent and do not delay any more,
come! come, bring to us the Day once foretold,
make everyone hear Your Majestic Voice;
You are known to be Gracious, My God,
give me a hearing and answer me .....
I give You thanks
for I know that You have heard me;
amen;
True Life in God, July 22nd, 1992
O Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour,
thou didst promise to abide with us always.
Thou dost call all Christians to draw near
and partake of Thy Body and Blood.
Just one sin has divided us
and we have no power to partake
of thy Holy Eucharist together.
We confess this our sin and we pray thee
forgive us and help us
to serve the ways of reconciliation
according to thy Will.
Kindle our hearts with the fire of the Holy Spirit
give us the spirit of wisdom, and faith
of daring and of patience,
of humility and of firmness
of love and of repentance
through the prayers of
the most blessed Mother of God,
and of all the saints. Amen

Sundays Gospel- The Wedding at Cana
1. Jesus is not yet known as a miracle worker, so why does Mary approach him (verse 3)? He was her Master, that's why.lol IDK, What do you learn about Jesus’ relationship with his Mother from this story? Well up until Jesus was called to His mission and when the time came for him to go into the world, he was Mary's Son, submissive to His mother but at the wedding of Cana, he was no longer subject to her but to His mission and His Father. The good ties to His mother were broken. They were spiritual bonds now, higher ones. See the Poem of the Man-God for a detailed explanation. Near the bottom of the page, Jesus explains it.
2. How does Jesus’ use of the word “woman” (v. 3) point to a parallel between Eve and Mary (Genesis 3:15; John 19:26-27; Revelation 12:1-6, 13-14)? Eve was the mother of all humanity; Mary is to be the 'spiritual' mother of all mankind. Should it be seen as a sign of disrespect—or a sign of honor and election? Mary is the "Holy Mother." The woman is what He called her after becoming The Servant of God. It had a higher meaning and meant no disrespect at all but one of honor. See CCC § 2618
3. What associations might be attached to the headwaiter's expression “the good wine” in verse 10 (Isaiah 25:6; Amos 9:13; John 6:53; 1 Corinthians 10:16; Revelation 19:7-9)? The “wine of the new
covenant” and the “bread of life” which Jesus provides for his disciples in the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist. It also points to the Messianic banquet which Jesus will provide at the end of the age when he comes again in glory.
4. This “sign” (verse 11) is the first of seven that will be highlighted in John’s Gospel (see Introduction to John in the NAB). What “sign” led you (or is leading you) to put your faith in Jesus? The woman clothed with the Sun in Revelation 12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Mary is The Woman.
5. How unconditionally do you do whatever Jesus tells you to do (verse 5)? Not often enough. Do you ever try to place limits on what he can tell you to do? I am human, and with that comes fear and laziness, so I tend to limit God all the time. What spiritual gifts has he given to you and to those around you to help carry out his will (see Second Reading)? I have not utilized those gifts mentioned in 1 Cor 12:4-11. I could have otherwise a word of wisdom and knowledge for you :P I fail, I know.

- "The only wholly safe vaccine is a vaccine that is never used" Dr. James A. Shannon, National Institute of Health, U.S.A.
- "It is nonsense to think that you can inject pus – and it is usually from the pustule end of the dead smallpox victim… it is unthinkable that you can inject that into a little child and in any way improve its health. What is true of vaccination is exactly as true of all forms of serum immunization, if we could by any means build up a natural resistance to disease through these artificial means, I would applaud it to the echo, but we can’t do it." Dr. William Howard Hay (Lecture to Medical Freedom Society, June 25th, 1937).
Here is a prayer that the title of my post came from: you will see at the very bottom paragraph the words in my post title:
O Come and Rescue Me
Father all Merciful, raise me up to Your Breast.Allow me to drink from theRunning Streams of Eternal Life, and by this I shall know thatI enjoy Your favour.O come and rescue me beforethe Hour comes upon me.Cure me,for I have sinned against You.Father,Your Lips are moist with Grace,Your Heart is a blazing Furnace of Love,Your Eyes are Two Flames of consuming Fire.O Father,Your Beauty is Perfection in itself,Your Majesty and Splendour leave even thebrightest of Your angels dazzled.Wealthy in Virtue and Grace,do not hide Your Holy Face fromme, when the Hour comes, come and anoint me with the oil of love.God, hear my prayer, listen to my supplicating voice!I must fulfil the vows I made YouEternal Father, although the current is opposing me,I trust,I know,I believe, that Your Arm will be thereto lift me and pull me out of this current.O how I long to gaze onYour Sanctuary and see Your Gloryin the Ark of the Covenant!O how my soul languishes to gazeon the Rider of the Heavenswho carries the Name:Faithful and TrueHe who will sweep away iniquityfrom the world,He who is Just.O come and cover me with Your Cloaksince Your Love is known for its generosity.O Father! Do not brush me offlike I deserve because of my sins, but help me. Provide me with myDaily Breadand keep me safe and awayfrom the Viper's fangs.Make me heiress of Your House, make me Your child of Light, make me a perfect copy of theSupreme Martyr, to glorify Youfor ever and ever. The vision of Pope Leo XIII
The Prayer to St. Michael was composed by Pope Leo XIII after hearing two voices in a vision. One of Jesus and one of Satan on October 13, 1884. This is what he heard:
This is the Prayer to St. Michael which was to be prayed at the end of every "low" Mass throughout the universal Church, along with the Salve Regina (Hail, Holy Queen). The practice of the congregation praying these prayers at the end of Mass continued until about 1970, with the introduction of the new rite of the Mass. Most catholics today , pray it before or after the rosary however:
Pope John Paul II urged Catholics to recite this prayer . In his Angelus message given in St. Peter’s Square, Sunday, April 24, 1994 he said :

The guttural voice, the voice of Satan in his pride, boasted to Our Lord: "I can destroy your Church."
The gentle voice of Our Lord: "You can? Then go ahead and do so."
Satan: "To do so, I need more time and more power."
Our Lord: "How much time? How much power?
Satan: "75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service."
Our Lord: "You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will."
"Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."
Pope John Paul II urged Catholics to recite this prayer . In his Angelus message given in St. Peter’s Square, Sunday, April 24, 1994 he said :
"The prayer can fortify us for that spiritual battle about which the Letter to the Ephesians speaks [of]: "Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power."(Ephesians 6:10). And to this same battle that the Book of the Apocalypse refers [to], recalling in front of our eyes the image of St. Michael the Archangel (cf. Revelations 12:7). Surely, this scene was very present to Pope Leo XIII, when, at the end of the previous century, he introduced to the entire Church a special prayer to St. Michael: ‘St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil… ’
"Even if today this prayer is no longer recited at the end of the Eucharistic celebration, I invite all to not forget it, but to recite it in order to obtain help in the battle against the forces of darkness and the spirit of this world."

As far as the story goes, yes, I did pay for them as a download (I can't remember how much ). I found the infamous blog where I got them from too. I am lucky I never ordered them in book form, cause I have heard people weren't too happy when they never received them. They said it was a scam. Some people even became affiliates lol.
Now you can read them and do what I did : send them to a print shop [i.e: UPS]. Here is what I got :
The Interior castle
The Cloud of Unknowing - Anonymous
Confessions - St.Augustine of Hippo
Imitation of Christ 0.1 - Thomas a Kempis
Imitation of Christ - Thomas a Kempis
The Seven Authentic Epistles of St.Ignatius of Antioch
The Little Flowers of St.Francis of Assisi - Brother Ugolino
Story of a Soul - St. Therese of Lisieux

There are 11 books , supposed to be 10 but I have two on the Imitation of Christ as you can see . They aren't the same . Here is a sample of what Acrobat looks like .
I have had my account for more than a month and it seems to still be working lol . I think it's safe to say it's free , although if you want the upgrade you will have to pay . Anyway I really like the handy gadget and the best part is you can share it with everybody!
